India Wins the series against Australia

After such a wonderful series for India, finally the result was in favour of India.India wins the series with 2-0 and made Australia to bend.India won the Border-Gavaskar trophy in a grand style.The Four match Test series ended up today and India won the two matches under Dhoni’s captaincy, the other two were draw. The Indian bowlers made their job in the final day and made Australia as Lostralia.With 13 for 0 at the start of the final day, Australians made an aggresive start but the strategy failed when Katich threw is wicket away.So from then the match was one sided and Australia were kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Finally Indians finished off the match before last session and won the series 2-0 up.The final day was made special since it was Ganguly’s last day in the International cricket and this victory could be a great one for him.After the match Sourav was lifted up by his colleagues and there was a complete roar in the stadium as a sign of farewell to Sourav (DADA).

Though the Bengal prince failed to score in the second innings, his contribution to the team in the first innings will be remembered forever.

The man of the series was annonced as Ishant Sharma for claiming 23 wickets and the Man of the match was given to the Australian spinner Krejza.

It was Ishant and the spinners who did their job in style and made India to find an easy victory in final test .In the presentation party the trophy was given to Dhoni and the generous youngster called up kumble and they both holded the trophy together.Possibly the best situation for the retired captain.

Finally its all over and Australia’s domination in world cricket has came to an end.Moreover India is moved on top to second spot after Australia in ICC test rankings.

Australian skipper Ricky Ponting started to receive critcisims as he got after the common wealth bank series.

India is the nation which makes the difference.
