Australia tour of India-2008 schedule

India is going to welcome Australia in a four match test series, starting from October 9, 2008. The exciting series is expected to be staged as both the sides will be looking to win the test series. Australia will play two practice matches against teams in India ahead of the series. India lost test series in Australia 2-1 earlier this year. Indian fans will expect Indian players to take the revenge of that defeat and retain BorderGavaskar trophy once again.

In their previous tour to India, Australian cricket team clinched a historic series victory, first time in 30 years. So, they will be looking to continue their success against Indian team in the upcoming test series as well. However, Australian squad seems to be less strong than the squad that visited India in 2004. Australian spin department lacks of experience as Australian selectors named two uncapped spinners: Bryce McGain and Jason Krejza- to face India’s experienced batsmen in India’s turning wickets. Indian selectors are yet to name the Indian squad, but reports have it that there could be a number of changes in the squad that visited Sri Lanka in the recent tour. However, nothing can be taken as granted yet until the Indian squad is unveiled. Here, I am giving the schedule of Australia’s tour to India:
